From last monday to friday we made a short trip to the north of Norway to visit the small town of Tromsø, which is located on the island Tromsøya. After a flight with a phenomenal view over the fjords and mountains of Norway we arrived there and checked in at our hotels (I was at the Sydspissen Hotel which is located atthe very southend of the island) with a beautiful view over the fjord.
Although the possibility for northern lights is almost always good in Tromsø we didn't see anything (it was quite cloudy most evenings). We visited the Polaria museum (with the cute seals), the arctic cathedral and went up to the mountain Fjellheisen with the cablecar where we had a spectacular view over the whole landscape.
We also did icebathing which was really really cold but also a lot of fun ;) Trosmø is a lovely little town with interesting spots and a breathtaking nature around. And to show you the amazing landscape, here some pictures:
