The last two weeks we tried very hard so see the northern lights and last thursday there has been a strong solar storm so the forecast was very good. But the whole weekend there was either no light or too much clouds!! I haven't slept that much because I always stood up in the middle of the night to see if there are some lights. Nevertheless yesterday evening it was not that cloudy at all and the activity was rising so we decided to go to a place far from the city lights (østmarka). Although there were many clouds in the north we saw it for a few minutes and freaked out totally^^ Afterwards we joined some other friends that were watching the lights from the fortress and when we arrived there we saw a very strong light. We stayed there the whole evening but we didn't see anything more. So finally I've seen the northern lights for the first time!!
It isn't that strong as it looks in the pictures but it was beautiful anyway. So here are some pictures ;)
